I've just created a photo album here.

If you click on a thumbnail image a full sized version will appear with a table below listing the names of anyone we can identify. If you know any other names please add them to this thread giving the co-ordinates of the person who you think you know. It would also be nice to estimate years and the subject matter (e.g. Junior School or Chess Club etc.)

Here are some names from photo 10001, which is the Junior School only. My guess is it was taken in 1971. But I could be a year out in either direction.

David told me he got it from Neil Aitken... He is at grid ref H4.

Here are some other names that aren't already known and that I think are correct. I think I know more but I'm only going to put those forward of which I am certain (ish)... Here goes:-

Ref Name
--- ---------
L2 Matthew Green
C3 Jeremy Rose
E3 Philip Ruheman (sp?)
F3 Nicholas Dalton
G3 Jonathan Levy
J3 Andrew Pickersgill
L3 Robert Hill (or is it Gavin?)
D4 Angus Piper
E4 Neil Ridley
F4 Nicholas Southward

Hope this helps...

Further to Adam's reply on this I do know a few of the names (and I know Adam has got quite a few of them already so apologies for the duplication).

Anyway, the bottom line is, I think, Adam Burr, David Kerner, Richard Halfon, Angus Piper, Neil Ridley, Nicholas Southward, Jeremy Merton (??), me!, James Brett, Rupert McNeill (??), ??, ??

Next line up: Robert Dowler (??), ??, Jeremy Rose, Timothy Hare, Phil Ruhemann, ??, Jason Rubens, Jon Levy, ??, ??, Andrew Pickersgill, Robert Max (??), Gavin Hill

Next line up: ??? Except four along is, I think, Jeremy Bentley, and three from the far end is someone Bell (I think)

Top line is: ???? except third man in is Robert Hill and the one in from the end is Robin Catto

Hope this helps
Cheers
Neil

I've added those names to the photo album.

Row 2 was a little hard as the order of the names from Neil and Adam don't quite match. Neil has added Jason Rubens where I didn't think I had a space. Anyways have a look at what I've done and post any corrections and we will get there incrementally Very Happy

Anyone else got any pics?

David,
Sorry to confuse the issue, but having looked at the picture again, there seem to be two spaces between Phil Ruhemann and Jon Levy...I'm not sure who is Nicholas Dalton (Adam may have a better memory than me on this) but I thought the blonde haired chap was Jason Rubens

I think the "Bell" in the 1971 photo is Jonathan Bell, older brother of Jason.

Neil has added some names that I was thinking of too but was not certain enough to write. Where his opinions match mine I think we should - for now - assume they are correct.

I'm gonna try to avoid confusing things further here by consolidating all the suggestions so far. I have also added some more.

I hope this helps!

=======
TOP ROW
=======
???
???
Robert Hill
Philip? Letts
???
???
???
???
???
???
???
Roger Layton?
Robin Catto
? Sealey

==========
SECOND ROW
==========
???
???
John Frederick?
Jeremy Bentley?
???
???
George Lemos?
???
Jonathan Bell
Gideon Toedes
? Widdecombe?
Matthew Green

=========
THIRD ROW
=========
Edward Dowler
???
Jeremy Rose
Timothy Hare
Philip Ruhemann
Peter/Andrew Weir*
Jason Rubens**
Jonathan Levy
Maxwell Burt?
???
Andrew Pickersgill
Robert Max
Gavin Hill

==========
BOTTOM ROW
==========
Adam Burr
David Kerner
Richard Halfon
Angus Piper
Neil Ridley
Nicholas Southward
Jeremy Merton?
James Brett
Rupert McNeil***
???
James Watson?

* I think the story was that his first name was actually Peter, but he used his middle name Andrew - because his father was also called Peter. His father was in film/TV if I remember rightly.

** Perhaps Neil is right and that this isn't Nicholas Dalton. On second thoughts, maybe this IS Nicholas Dalton and Jason Rubens is the chap sitting in the bottom row one man in from the right. Got to admit I am struggling here. Neil?

*** I think it is hard to say if this is Rupert McNeil or Christopher Coleman. My gut instinct was the same as Neil's i.e. that it's Rupert... but I wouldn't swear to it. Rupert didn't stay at the school to the end so Charles Falk might not remember him. Also Christopher Coleman was younger than me so may not have joined the school at the time of this photo. I vote we go with Rupert for now.

OK that's enough for now!

Adam,
Hold on a sec...you've just air brushed me out of the picture...thanks! I'm sqashed somewhere between Jeremy Merton and James Brett!!
As for the others on most of them you are probably correct...and just to add it was Bobby Sealey I think...keep up the good work!
Cheers
Neil

I think A2 is Rupert Widdicomb
2G is George Lemos (Diamantos Lemos' younger brother)

I think this is actually 1972.... 1971 would have been my year and I see some of my clammates younger brothers here.

I got an email from David Kerner who gave me loads of names and I've just put them on the page.

There's a slight disagreement over A2 is it Daniel or Rupert Widdicomb?

If anyone has any other ideas or I've missed something out please yell.

Also does anyone have any other pictures they can scan and email me. They don't have to be formal pictures, just any AH photos that they think may be of interest.

David,

I've a few photos - most framed though. I persuaded the wife to remove them so that I can get them scanned. I've got Senior picture 1976, 1977 and the 1977 rubgy team as well as prefects photo.
